HOTEL 1

Service:
Staff are super friendly, helpful and attentive.
The Aira Hotel is situated in a prime position on Soi 11 in Sukhumvit. I have stayed here on 3 separate occasions, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel was built in 2022, so is very modern and stylish and has a great rooftop pool, that gets the sun all day. If you're looking to enjoy Bangkok’s nightlife then it is an excellent choice, as it is surrounded by popular bars, restaurants and clubs. Not such a good choice however if you were wanting to be situated in a peaceful retreat, as the road is quite lively. There is good soundproofing though, and because of this I have never been disturbed by much outside noise when staying there.
Price Range:
Superior King Room: Approximately $90-$150 per night (rates can vary depending on season)

HOTEL 2
Samala Hotel: Soi 15
Overview:
Location:
Situated midway on Soi 15, which is reasonably quiet. Walking distance to the main Sukhumvit Road and Soi 11. A 7-11 is conveniently located next door.
Rooms:
Spacious and well designed rooms with modern amenities.
Facilities:
Lovely rooftop pool with bar, gym, parking, meeting room, shuttle service and 24 hour room service.
Dining:
Mariga Restaurant - On site all day restaurant serving extensive breakfast buffet in the mornings, and then Thai cuisine in the evenings.
Service:
Very friendly and attentive staff.
I have stayed at the Samala Hotel twice, and was really impressed with the rooms and modern Thai style design. The hotel is fairly new having been built 2023 and is conveniently located in a fairly quiet position , just a short walk from Sukhumvit Road and BTS Asok, close to shopping, dining, and entertainment. Highlights include a rooftop pool with city views, a well equipped gym, and the all day restaurant on the ground floor. One downside of the hotel is that rooms at the rear face a large concrete car park, so would recommend asking for a front facing room to ensure you get a view of the city.
Price Range:
Superior Room: Approximately $80-$120 per night (rates can vary depending on season)

HOTEL 3
Novotel: Soi 4
Overview
Location:
Situated midway along soi 4, a short walk to Nana BTS Skytrain station and Nana Plaza, a well known nightlife area.
Rooms:
Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable with a sleek contemporary design, excellent soundproofing and great city views.
Facilities:
Rooftop bar, pool, gym and shuttle service
Dining:
RedSquare Vodka Rooftop Bar: Over 35 vodkas on offer at this rooftop bar, with stunning views and great cocktails. Food Exchange Restaurant: Serves a mix of Asian and Western food.
Service:
Very professional and helpful staff
I first stayed at Novotel on Soi 4 in 2021, and the first thing I would say is that it's located on a fairly lively street, with the 'adult playground' known as Nana Plaza at the end of the road, so is probably not that well suited for families with young children. But if you are going to Bangkok to indulge in nightlife and want something in a central location, close to the BTS sky train, then the hotel is an ideal choice. The hotel is modern, very cool and stylish, with comfortable rooms and a fantastic rooftop pool and bar.
Price Range
Deluxe Room: Approximately $90-$140 per night (rates can vary depending on season)

HOTEL 4
Hyatt Place Soi 24
Overview:
Location:
Situated in Phrom Phong, with only a 5 minute walk to the BTS station. Shopping malls Emporium, EmQuartier, and EmSphere are all in close proximity as well.
Rooms:
Clean and comfortable rooms, with modern amenities and floor to ceiling windows.
Facilities:
Rooftop swimming pool, small gym and business facilities.
Dining:
Breakfast buffet offering both international and local options. Aire rooftop bar.
Service:
Professional and accommodating staff.
Hyatt Place on Soi 24 is good value for money given its location in the Phrom Phong area, close to the BTS Skytrain and 3 major shopping malls. The hotel is a great central base for exploring Bangkok. The facilities are great with a rooftop bar and pool, but are on the modest size. Rooms are very comfortable and modern.
Price Range
Standard King: Approximately $100-$150 per night (rates can vary depending on season)

HOTEL 5
Solitaire Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11/13
Overview
Location:
Situated at the top end of Soi 11, the hotel is a very short walk to the trendy bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Short walk to the Nana BTS.
Rooms:
All rooms are comfortable with modern furnishings, flat-screen TVs, and luxury bathrooms. Rooms on higher floor have stunning city views.
Facilities:
Swimming pool, gym, spa, shuttle service and fully equipped meeting rooms.
Dining Options:
Inhouse restaurants offering both Thai and international food. Rooftop bar with panoramic views.
Service:
Staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive.
Solitaire is a modern hotel located at the top end of Sukhumvit Soi 11, one of Bangkok’s most vibrant and nightlife oriented streets. I have stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions, and thought the location was great, as it is close enough to the nightlife action, but set back from it enough that it didn't disturb any sleep. For a hotel of this class and central location, it is very well priced. The pool is very nicely designed , but is on a low floor, so does not benefit from all day sun, as there is some shade from the surrounding buildings. Rooms are very comfortable, with modern amenities and very nice bathrooms.
Price Range
Grand Superior: Approximately $70-$120 per night (rates can vary depending on season)
